10 Gift Ideas for Enduro Enthusiasts

Christmas is approaching and we thought we’d put together the perfect gift list for enduro enthusiasts. In fact, we have collected the 10 best items that will make any enduro enthusiast happy. Send this list to your loved ones and you will avoid finding the usual socks under the tree this year.

Let’s start with the cheapest ones, for a less demanding but still useful and welcome gift:

10. Neck warmers:

A very simple gift with which there is no risk of getting the wrong size. It is inexpensive but certainly useful for those who ride motorbikes. You will find all kinds of neck warmers. We suggest a lightweight one for enduro riding that doesn’t make you sweat too much. Which is the best neck warmer? The one we give you on your tours. So if you come on a tour with Enduro Experience Croatia, you don’t need one!

9. Technical socks:

For those who just can’t bear not to put a pair of socks under the tree, here are some ideas for gifting the right ones. You can opt for technical socks, which offer support and comfort and are breathable. On Amazon you will find a wide choice; we particularly like these branded Acerbis (a super well-known brand in the enduro world), because in the face of unquestionable quality, they are reasonably priced

8. Helmet cleaning kit

A kit for cleaning the outside of your helmet and goggles is a great gadget to carry around. If you want to save money, there is this one, small and light, already equipped with a microfibre cloth, really good and super cheap.

7. Non-slip handlebar grips

This item is also a great idea for a cheap gift, you just have to, before making the purchase, check that they are compatible with the bike of the person you want to give them to. There are several, including original ones from various brands. We are getting on well with the Domino ones. You can also find cheaper ones on Amazon, but these are of good quality.

6. Handlebar Tool Holder

This is always a simple but very functional accessory. In fact, it allows you to have essential tools at hand when out on the bike. It is very easy to mount on the handlebar and you can store your keys, small tools or other small items in it. We use the Acerbis one, which is quite cheap, solid and in our opinion indestructible.

5. Enduro gloves

Super cheap gift that is hard to go wrong with. You just have to pay attention to the size but otherwise, for an enduro rider, the glove is always a great gift. In fact, everyone usually has more than one pair in the garage. At Enduro Experience Croatia we use very basic gloves because we prefer to have enough grip on our tours. We use Fox which are available in different colours or Alpinestars, which are very similar, also in terms of price.

Now let’s move on to the second gift group, which are a little more demanding but usually very popular. Let’s start with goggles.

4. Enduro goggles with anti-fog lenses

These are the glasses that protect your eyes from dust, mud and possible debris. Remember to choose a model with anti-fog lenses and an adjustable elastic headband. If budget is not an issue, choose a pair that has replaceable lenses and other parts. We always use Thor, Scott or Leat as brands, all of which are very good. It is a bit more complicated as a gift because there are different types and it would be better to have some information about preferences before making the purchase. You can always rely on Amazon but also on other online channels or in physical shops.

3. Water backpack – camelback

This is a super gift in our opinion! Impossible to get the size wrong. You just have to check if the person you want to give it to usually uses a bigger backpack to put other things in it or if they use an essential camelback. For our tours in Croatia we usually suggest a simple camelback. The first reason is that it is not necessary to carry tools. Some the guide has them and if anything else is needed, we always have someone ready to go and bring them. So a light water backpack, which doesn’t bother us but provides us with enough water for the tour, could be this one from Acerbis which has a medium price. Mind you, the backpack is well made and has space for other things but we suggest you replace the bag, we got a nice sturdy replacement bag at Decathlon, in the bike department, and so the backpack is perfect.

If you want to look good, there are other high-end solutions, for example from Scott. You could also look into products for runners because there are some camel backs dedicated to running that are really super light and don’t even feel like they’re there.

2. Repair tool kit

A tool kit is usually a very welcome gift. You can choose between giving tools to keep at home and there are different qualities and prices or you can think of a kit to take on the ride. We have Leatherman. because it is so small and contains practically everything you need. Also here you don’t have to worry about the size so it becomes a really risk-free gift: here you can find a nice one, at an affordable price anyway:

And finally we come to Mr Gift. An expensive but very impressive item. Great for a gift that wants to be challenging.

1. Action Camera

With the advent of social networking we all love to record videos and enduro riders are no different. An action camera to put on your helmet is a top gift in our opinion. Initially there was the GoPro that led the way, but in recent years other brands have joined this market segment. Remaining in the GoPro world, the latest model is the GoProHero 13, which is priced at a premium, but also has top features and functionality. This type of camera has a plethora of attachments and accessories, and frankly, we like it a lot. It’s easy to attach to your helmet, it shoots beautiful footage. Watching is believing: we put this video on youtube.com where a piece is made with the GoPro! Having said that, you can opt for an earlier version, either the 12 or the 11 are great action cameras and are definitely more acceptable in price.

Camera Go Pro Hero 13

For the sake of completeness, we also want to mention in this list of 10 gifts for enduro riders the 360° cameras that are becoming increasingly popular. This one is calledInsta 360 X4 and is a practically professional action camera. It has numerous ways of attaching it, but we haven’t figured out how to put it on the helmet so that it doesn’t get in the way (but of course that’s a personal thing). Still, a really top-notch little toy. We would point out that there is a previous model, the X3, which costs a little less. It also comes with a motorbike kit, and although we prefer a more compact model, the Insta 360 is a great camera.

We hope we have given you some ideas for the coming festive season, let us know if there are other things you find useful on your enduro trips and would like to receive for Christmas.
